How it works

Song on the TV. Mic in your hand.

No cables to the TV and no mixer. Your phone is the microphone, and the speaker you already own does the rest.

1. Start the song

Play the karaoke video on a TV, laptop or tablet, and connect a Bluetooth speaker or plug in headphones.

2. Tap the mic

The Karaoke echo is already switched on. Start with the volume low and raise the gain slowly.

3. Sing

Stand a few steps from the speaker and point the phone away from it. Turn the echo amount up or down to taste.

Free karaoke echo

A warm echo is on from the first tap. Turn the amount up for a big, wet sound or down for a cleaner voice.

Sing through your speaker

Automatic, phone speaker, wired headphones or a connected Bluetooth speaker, and the app shows which one is playing.

No squeal mid-song

Feedback guard hears the howl when the mic gets too close to the speaker, cuts that tone and lowers the gain by 3 dB.

Even out volume

An optional setting that keeps belted high notes from blasting the speaker while quiet verses stay clear.

Hold or tap

Tap to go live, or hold-to-talk so the mic is on only while you press. Gain from -6 to +24 dB with level meters.

Screen off, still singing

Keeps running with the screen off, with a notification to turn it off. A Quick Settings tile starts the mic in one tap.

Safety. Turn the volume down before you start and raise it slowly. Keep the phone's microphone away from the speaker to avoid feedback, and never hold a loud speaker to your ear. Karaoke Mic plays out loud what the microphone hears: only use it where people know you are singing or speaking, never to listen in on others. It is not a hearing aid or medical device.
